New Braunfels police believe a Bell County man arrested Wednesday on a first-degree felony charge of sexual performance by a child may have assaulted others.

Brandon Dmichael Lively, 31, of Harker Heights, was arrested at his residence by New Braunfels police and special agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Bell County Sheriff’s deputies transported Lively to Comal County Jail, where he was booked on two warrants for first-degree felony sexual performance of a child under the age of 14.

Lively is accused of using social media to contact and induce a child to engage in sexual performance.

According to online court records, the offense occurred on Oct. 22.

“The New Braunfels Police Department (NBPD) and HSI special agents have ongoing investigations into this case,” NBPD said in a statement released today. “NBPD detectives also believe that there are additional juvenile victims. Specific details about the nature of the crime, the relationship between the suspect and victim, and the way the crimes were carried out are purposefully being withheld in order to protect the integrity of the investigation and to judge the validity of additional victims that investigators believe may come forward.”

The investigation was initiated with an outcry by a New Braunfels child.

Anyone with information about the suspect or possible victims is asked to call New Braunfels Police Det. Richard Groff, 830-221-4167.
