No outdoor watering is allowed in New Braunfels this week.

It’s the first non-watering week since New Braunfels Utilities (NBU) Stage 3 drought restrictions went into effect on June 21.

Watering is restricted for all customers through July 8. Watering can resume the week of July 11-14. Watering days depend on the last digit of an address.

Watering on weekends is prohibited.

“With the drought continuing and no relief in sight, demand on the aquifer, not just in New Braunfels but across the region, is putting the spring flow at risk,” NBU said in a statement. “To protect the Comal Springs for the benefit of the entire region, New Braunfels has entered Stage 3 drought restrictions.”

Canyon Lake residents follow guidelines from Canyon Lake Water Service Company (CLSWC) and are not affected by this order.
