Online pre-registration closes today for Fun Fish, an outdoor fishing extravaganza for kids 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Canyon Park, 1769 Canyon Park Rd.

Water Oriented Rrecreation District of Comal County (WORD) will close registration this evening. Those who pre-register have guaranteed entry. Some 300 vehicles will be allowed into the park for day-of registration. To register day-of, arrive at the event before noon.

Click here to sign up for the free fishing event for children ages three to 16. This is a family event. Adults trying to enter without children will not be admitted.

The annual Fun Fish celebration gives children and their families a chance to spend a day outdoors learning about fishing, water safety, and “more” according to WORD.

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) will stock fish the morning of the event to increase the chances all kids will catch a fish.

Littles who aren’t interested in fishing can interact with local groups and education stations set up throughout the day.
