Three-term incumbent Republican Tom Clark won today’s primary election runoff with 53.42% of the vote. Challenger Susie Patterson captured 46.58% of the vote.
He faces Democrat Amanine “Amanda” Ngakoue in the Nov. 3 Uniform Election.
Only 22,756 or 15 percent of Comal County’s 148,260 registered voters cast ballots during early voting, absentee voting and election-day voting.
Comal Democrats favored Vikki Goodwin for lieutenant governor. She beat challenger Marcos Isaias Velez with 72.64% of the vote.
They selected Nathan Johnson as their candidate for attorney general, with Johnson receiving 51.32% of the vote.
Local Republicans voted in favor of U.S. senatorial candidate Ken Paxton, who received 69.49% of the vote.
Bo French won the race for railroad commissioner with 54.47% of the vote.

They should stick with being a real estate agent, and leave the job to a dedicated attorney!
