Narcotics investigators with the Comal County and Guadalupe County sheriff’s offices arrested a 53-year-old New Braunfels man Oct. 1 and seized approximately 300 grams of methamphetamine, the Comal County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) said in a statement Thursday.
The joint investigation began in September and continued into October. Investigators identified Jessie McAfee as an alleged suspected regional methamphetamine distributor operating in Guadalupe and Comal counties.
Deputies obtained an arrest warrant charging him with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, Penalty Group 1, greater than four grams but less than 200 grams. The estimated street value is between $12,00 to $15,000, according to Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) Lt. Zach McBride.
After the arrest, Guadalupe County narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at McAfee’s residence in the 200 block of Grove Lane in New Braunfels/Guadalupe County and seized about 274 grams of methamphetamine.
McAfee was booked into Comal County Jail on an outstanding Comal County warrant. Guadalupe County investigators expect to file additional charges related to the methamphetamine seized at the residence.
“This case reflects the continued partnership between the Comal County and Guadalupe County Sheriff’s offices to disrupt narcotics distribution in our communities,” CCSO Sgt. Shawn Trevino said.
