Swim Beach #2 at Canyon Park closed today as Canyon Lake continues to shrink in the drought.
Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County (WORD) said Boat Ramp #18, Swim Beach #1 and the rest of the 485-acre park, located on the north shore of Canyon Lake, will remain open.
Madrone Trail is open.
Canyon Park is day-use only. Amenities include picnic sites, one boat ramp, a pea gravel-and-sand beach and restrooms.
Entrance fees for Swim Beach #1 are $5 per vehicle with Comal County registration sticker and $20 per non-Comal County registered vehicle. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
Amenities include community grills, a volleyball court, soccer goals, bathrooms, and tetherball.
