The Fifth Annual DAM Fine Car Show and Sunday Drive rolls across the top of Canyon Lake Dam from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The fundraiser benefits the nonprofit DAM Community Alliance, which partners with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) to help pay for repairs and improvements to facilities.
“We are currently saving money we raise for some cool projects being brainstormed that will bring new attractions to some of their facilities, so they can get more use and enjoyment from the community,” said Comal County Pct. 4 Commissioner Jen Crownover, one of the founders of the group.
Rain date is Oct. 23.

Take a ‘Sunday Drive’ across the dam for $10 per vehicle. Hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vehicles enter at the Overlook Park entrance on the south side of the dam, 601 Coe Rd., and exit at the north end of dam.
DAM Fine Car Show in North Park
The DAM Fine Car Show in North Park, N. Park Rd., is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. After awards are presented at 3 p.m., entrants will drive across the dam to Overlook Park.
Vehicles include hot rods, bikes, classic cars, trucks, jeeps and modern vehicles.
Admission is $5 per spectator and free for children under 10.
Anyone can register a vehicle for the show. Exhibitors pay $15 to pre-register their vehicles and $20 day-of. Gates open at 9 a.m. All vehicles must be in place by 11:30 a.m. There will be a Car Corral outside of the ticketed area for participants who arrive late and need to leave before the show concludes at 3 p.m.
DAM Strong Power-Pull
New this year is a power-pull.
DCA is looking for individuals or teams who think they’re strong enough to pull a car across Canyon Dam on Oct. 29. Winners will raise money for the nonprofit of their choosing.
