The Community Resource and Recreation of Canyon Lake (CRRC) hopes golfers and even non-golfers will tee up to donate online during the Valero Texas Open Champions fore Charities this year.

The online fundraiser matches individual donations with a seven-percent incentive. The donation deadline is April 11. The CRRC will receive 100-percent of all funds raised.

“The CRRC is proud and excited to participate again this year in the Champions fore Charity and want to share our appreciation for the generosity of the Valero Foundation which has helped to make this program one of the vital annual fundraising campaigns for the CRRC and so many other charities,” said Executive Director Jason Derscheid.

CRRC is one of hundreds of nonprofits that benefit from the tournament’s charitable outreach.

The Canyon Lake charity received $41,119 in donations from the fundraiser in 2021. Some 314 individual and business donors contributed. So far this year, Champions for Charity has raised $18,475 for CRRC from 27 donors —  32% of CRRC’s $60,000 goal.
