Canyon Lake Community Library District’s Board of Trustees is looking for a new library director.

Tye Preston Memorial Library (TPML) Library Director Natalie Shults is moving on to the Boerne Public Library, where she’ll also serve as library director. Her last day at TPML is May 29.

Assistant Director Sandy Anna-John will step in as interim director at TPML.

“I want you all to know that I’ve truly felt blessed to serve as TPML’s director these last two years,” Shults said in an email to library patrons. “I love this Hill Country library and the community that calls it home. I cannot tell you how bittersweet this news is, how much of my heart will always stay at the library at the top of a hill. It has truly been a pleasure to serve the Canyon Lake community and I’ve considered myself so lucky these last two years.”

She’s the second library director to resign since Roxanna Deane retired in October 2020 after 16 years of service.
