Tennessee-based Tractor Supply Company will break ground on a new $2.772 million store on FM 306 in Canyon Lake on Jan. 16, 2027.

An exact location was not provided in a Tuesday, Oct. 27 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

The 23,729-square-foot retail building is scheduled for completion Oct. 16, 2027.

Nashville’s Oxford Architecture is listed as the store’s design firm.

The company operates two other retail facilities in Comal County located at 33701 N. Highway 281 in Bulverde and at 840 Loop 337 in New Braunfels.

On its website, Tractor Supply describes itself as the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the United States, a source for farm supplies, pet and animal feed and supplies, clothing, tools and fencing.

The company outlined its plans for growth in a December 2024 presentation titled “Life Out Here 2030 Strategy.”

Included in those plans were tailoring product selection to meet specific demographic and regional needs and expanding customer service to address the “Out Here” business-to-business market, including larger farms, small- to medium-sized businesses, and event spaces.

“Tractor Supply has never been stronger and the next five years are going to be very exciting,” said Hal Lawton, president and chief executive officer of Tractor Supply.

On Sept. 26, the company reported its net sales increased 5.1% to $3.91 billion.
