The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACE) Canyon Lake office will close several weeks for renovations and improvements.

Contracted renovations began May 31 with a 120-day performance period but anticipated impacts to the lake office should only last two weeks, USACE Public Affairs Specialist Clay Church said in a statement.

Phone lines and other telecommunication equipment will be impacted, but the main office number, 830-964-3341, will only be offline for a minimum time, he said.

USACE Canyon Lake Manager Javier Perez Ortiz said he appreciates public understanding and support for this “essential” work.

The lake’s dam and associated outlet works are not affected and will continue to function and they were designed and intended to, Church said.

For more information contact USACE’s lake office at 830-964-3341 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays or visit https://www.swf-wc.usace.army.mil/canyon/.
