With 134,000 Registered Voters, Comal County Prepares for ‘Busy’ Election

Comal County is just 100 residents shy of having 134,00 registered voters according to Elections Coordinator Cynthia Jaqua.

To prepare for the Nov. 7 Constitutional Amendment Election, she asked Comal County commissioners Thursday for six clerks at each of the county’s 26 polling locations or vote centers.

“I think we’ll be busy, that’s why I requested six at each location,” she said.

Comal ISD Support Services Building is the latest addition to polling locations for Nov. 7.

Early voting locations approved at Commissioners Court are Comal County Elections Office, 396 N. Seguin Ave., New Braunfels; Mammen Family Public Library, 131 Bulverde Crossing, Bulverlde; Comal County Offices, Goodwin Annex Training Room, 1297 Church Hill Dr., New Braunfels; Comal County Offices, Bulverde Annex JP #2 Courtroom, 30470 Cougar Bend, Bulverde; St. Francis by the Lake Episcopal Church, Large Room, 121 Spring Mountain Dr., Canyon Lake; and Garden Ridge City Hall, Municipal Court Room, 9400 Municipal Parkway, Garden Ridge.

Early voting runs from Oct. 23-30. The deadline to apply for a mail-in ballot is Oct. 27.

Commissioners also named Karen Hobson the early voting ballot board judge and appointed Peggy Veira as the alternate judge for the upcoming election.
