Canyon Lake Area Writers (CLAW) will read their own epitaphs from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Preston Room at Tye Preston Memorial Library, 16311 S. Access Rd., Canyon Lake.

“Writing prompts and exercises stimulate our imaginations and creativity,” said Chair G. Schleyer. “The last assignment was to write your own epitaph or how you want to be remembered. It will be interesting to hear the variety of writings from other creative minds.

“As always, we will have chocolate.”

CLAW offers writers of all experiences and genres a forum to share their work, receive critique, and share insights and information about writing.

The meeting is open to the public and anyone who shows up is welcome to share a story or excerpt from a current project.

“Our members always lend a listening ear and critiques are always gentle,” Schleyer said.

The group meets on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
