When Will They Come?

The “bloom line” usually follows the warming temperatures, starting in the southern coastal cities and moving north and east along the Gulf Coast. As the bloom line approaches the higher altitudes of the Texas Hill Country its westward direction slows while its northward direction speeds up. Areas in hill country will often peak between the end of March through the first week of April. Ennis area is typically the last region to peak, but 2012 proved there are exceptions.

This is a general sketch of when and it's highly dependent on local climate variations.
