Chili at 3 p.m.
Beans at 4 p.m.
Trophies at 5 p.m.

That’s all you need to know about the Fraternal Order of Canyon Men’s (FOCM) Chili and Bean Cookoff on Saturday at VFW Post 8573, 14625 River Road, Canyon Lake.

The fundraising group is charging wannabe chefs $25 to make beans or chili or $50 for both. The only caveat? Keep the beans out of the chili.

All proceeds raised benefit Canyon Lake High School.

FOCM’s mission is to help the Canyon Lake community and provide scholarships to Canyon Lake High School graduates.

By raising money through all kinds of fundraisers, FOCM provides scholarships and pays electric bills, water bills, and grocery bills — anything but doctor’s bills — for those in need in Canyon Lake.
