The City of New Braunfels temporarily closed the Comal River today after heavy overnight rain increased flows to more than 1,800 cubic feet per second (cfs), resulting in poor water clarity and debris along the riverbanks and at the Tube Chute Dam. The city said it will reevaluate river conditions later today.
