To qualify for a mammogram on the Mobile Mammography Unit you must:
- Be 40 years of age or older (insurance permitting). Those under 40 years of age must have a physician’s order for screening.
- A physician’s order is not needed for patients who have seen their physician within a year before their mammogram appointment.
- Have not had a mammogram within the past 365 days.
- The last mammogram must have been negative.
- Have no new symptoms such as lumps, pain, skin changes or nipple discharge. See a physician immediately if so.
- Have not had breast cancer within the last three years.
Bring:
- Name, address and phone number of your physician
- Films from last mammogram
- Valid photo ID.
- Insurance card. Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans are accepted.
No deodorant, perfume, powders or lotions. Wear a two-piece outfit.
